The Neighbor2Neighbor Program encourages people to create community and grow food.
No matter where you live or how much space you have, you can grow something. In the Neighbor2Neighbor Program, we ask you to focus on a single crop. Sometimes it feels overwhelming to try to plant an entire garden right off the bat, so instead we ask you to focus on a single crop. Team up with friends, family, colleagues, classmates; and together create a whole garden through single crops. Each of you chooses one crop to grow and then you share your excesses. Your group decides how and in what way you will share. Maybe you will all come together and have a beautiful meal, or maybe you will simply bundle your abundance and hand it out. Maybe you will decide instead to make a meal for the community. How you share the excess is up to you.
We want to help you in this process and we want to help you grow. Register your Growing Group with us and we’ll give you access to our private Neighbor2Neighbor Facebook Group. Be sure to fill out the form completely so we can invite your entire group and if you add people later, just come back and fill out a new form with the added group members.
We have are also creating Pinterest Boards to help you grow. Each board focuses on different ways to grow food: vertically, in small space, in containers, hydroponics, in hay, on a balcony. You’d be surprised at how many ways their are to grow food, and how much can be grown in a small amount of space. What we’ve done is collect videos from YouTube so you don’t have to. Follow our Pinterest Boards.
